Thank you to those of you who directly funded the well: they have now started digging it!!! The other day I went over to check it out and the workers told me that the hole is 70 feet deep already. Here is a picture of the big machine. It lives there all the time and the workers sleep in the school building at night.
Often we only have running water out of faucets at Chacocente in the early morning. Folks get up and fill all the barrels to have water for the day. Other times the water doesn´t run at all and it has to be brought in my horse and cart or by truck, depending on whether the truck is available. So this well is a wonderful blessing. The Chacocente families have had water problems all 4 years they´ve lived here.
